"Butterfly Mania"

Well, I sort of promised a friend of mine not to add any more butterflies to this blog (he seems to be of the idea that I suffer from "butterfly mania") . However, I simply decided to let this old painting of mine be a part of this blog since I'm quite fond of it. So, dear amigo, this might be the last butterfly to enter this blog... We'll see... ;-)

My favourite flower

Here's my latest painting, depicting my favourite flower. Simply love both the look and fresh smell of lilies. For some reason, this painting made me think of a relative of mine who was always rather fond of painting all sorts of flowers. Perhaps I've grown to like this type of paintings myself, without ever really realizing it?

Metamorphosis

Well, this is me. For the first time ever, I've made a selfportrait. For as long as I can remember, I've been very fond of butterflies. Not only do their vivid colours appeal to me, but the very transformation from a caterpillar to a butterfly fascinates me. It's like magic. Therefore, I chose to portray myself in the midst of my "metamorphosis", surrounded by cheerful butterfly friends, just about to grow wings to fly.
